GNF informs on Naga Solidarity Walk 

Dimapur, July 24 (MExN): The organisers of the “Naga Solidarity Walk” scheduled to flag off from Kohima on July 28 have reminded all the walkers that it is a peaceful walk and all participants are requested the to refrain from indulging in any form of violence.  All effort must be made to prevent any untoward incidents and the organisers once again appeal to all Nagas to rise up to the occasion cutting across the borders to join the walk to assert that we are “ One people” and we have “One destiny,” stated a press release from the organisers.

Spearheaded by the Global Naga Forum, the walk under the theme, “One People, One Destiny” will flag off in Kohima from Lerie at 6am on July 28. As per the travel itinerary provided by the organisers, the walkers will halt for the night in Maram, and start the second day at the same time. They are expected to reach Senapati at 12:30 PM.  The organisers further informed all the walkers to carry their own sleeping bags and toiletries and mini-trucks to carry sleeping bags, rucksacks, etc will be provided. Medical teams, foods, refreshments and lodgings as transportation for return journey to Kohima have also been arranged.
