Dimapur, March 25 (MExN): Lt. Gen. Anil Chauhan, AVSM, SM, VSM, General Officer Commanding (GOC), Spear Corps today called on Chief Minister of Nagaland, Dr. Shürhozelie Liezietsu.
A press release from PRO, IGAR (N) informed that the two dignitaries had discussions on wide ranging issues during the interaction. The Chief Minister of Nagaland conveyed his appreciation for the work being done by the security forces towards maintaining peace and tranquillity in the State, while the GOC assured the CM that the security forces will continue to maintain strict vigil in order to keep the security situation under control, the release said.
Lt. Gen. Chauhan was on a two-day visit to Kohima Assam Rifles Garrison, Zakhama and Chakabama military stations from March 24 to 25 to review the security situation. During his visit, the Corps Commander interacted with officers and troops of the security forces and complimented them for their dedication and devotion to duty. He urged them to continue to perform their duties in a dedicated manner, it was informed.
