GOC Spear Corps flags off new ambulances for Military Hospitals

Dimapur, October 29 (MExN): Lieutenant General Abhijit Pendharkar, GOC Spear Corps, inaugurated four Critical Care Ambulances and an Electric Cart at the 165 Military Hospital in Rangapahar Military Station.

The vehicles were donated by the Soldiers Independent Rehabilitation Foundation (SIRF), Pune, a defence spokesperson said.

The Force Traveller-based ambulances, equipped with Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) systems, will enhance emergency medical evacuation and life support capabilities for military hospitals in Dinjan, Dimapur, Likabali, and Leimakhong. An electric cart was also provided to facilitate eco-friendly transport within the station.

The GOC commended the initiative, noting that the vehicles would serve as ‘force multipliers’ in strengthening the medical and administrative support grid of the Spear Corps. The contribution, made possible through the initiative of Sumedha Chithade and her team at SIRF Foundation, it added.
