Dimapur, December 15 (MExN): Leader of NPF Legislature Party, Kuzholuzo (Azo) Nienu today categorically asserted that the Central Government, if it is sincere on the solving the Naga political issue, will table in the ongoing winter Parliament session from December 7 to 29.
He said if the Naga issue is tabled in the Parliament session then the forth coming general election maybe withheld and will not be held as schedule. However, if the Naga issue is not tabled in the session then the election is imminent and will be held as schedule, he added.
According to a press communiqué from the NPF Press Bureau, he said this while addressing the Golden Jubilee celebration of Kutsapo Sports Association as chief guest.
Azo also demanded that before the final inking of the decade old Naga political issue, the common draft of the agreement between the Naga political groups and the Government of India should be placed to public domain for public consumption.
He maintained that if the Central Government is serious in bringing a practical solution to the Naga political issue then it should not hesitate or prolong, but deliver justice to the Naga people at the earliest.
The NPF leader is also said to have asserted that the NPF is committed to facilitate in bringing a final solution to the Naga political issue which is honourable, acceptable and inclusive and the priority of the party is for early settlement to the Naga political problem. He also added that the present UDA partners are committed towards bringing solution and not election.
Meanwhile, Azo said that Jubilee is a time of celebration but maintained that celebration alone is meaningless. It should be a time to reconcile, forget and forgive and let bygones be bygones and continue the friendship amongst us to prosper.
Stating that 50 years celebration is remarkable, Azo Nienu said that it is a time for all to retrospect and introspect where we need a room for improvement to develop and foster our human values
He also advised the games and sports contingents to put God first and be sincere and dedicated in their respective field of activity. Therefore, the chief guest of the Jubilee has encouraged the contingents to be committed, dedicated and put God first, the communiqué stated.
