Apostle Rev Luoliehu Yimsung, Founder, Leaders Arise Nagaland (LAN); Initiator Overseas Naga Association (ONA) and Cofounder Kingdom Leaders Prayer Breakfast (KLPB) spoke on the ‘Bible perspective for regional, national and independent political parties’ in Kohima on October 29.
Speaking of what alliance should be in the actual sense, Rev Yimsung said it should be one that comes through God's direction. Observing that good leaders were in high demand but were in low supply, he questioned how often we pray or ask for good leaders. He said good leaders were demanded everywhere be it student leaders or village organization or other groups.
“A political leader plays the role of a mentor, a spiritual leader, because he or she is one who carry the message of God,” Yimsung said while asking politician whether they consult God before they start a new venture or endeavour be it political activities or others.
Adding that one wants to be in alliance, it is because we want to be protected. However, the alliance that we want to have should be for the protection of oneself, one's endeavour and one's political journey should directly come from God.
Stating that a politician carry the anointing of God and is in a position to give spiritual guidance, he said it is to come step by step so God can lead us.
He called the leaders not to become wonderers who blame leaders all the time because they don't know what they are or why they are in the group or followers without them which the group however cannot function but without any role but become leaders who pursue and do.
Leaders of political parties including Kuzholuzo Neinu, Chairman United Democratic Alliance, Dr Andrew Ahoto, President, National People's Party, Salhoutuonuo Kruse, Intending candidate, Joel Naga, President, Rising People's Party and others delivered short speeches on, “Who should I be in Alliance with and who should be in alliance with me/party?.”
The programme was hosted by Rev Robert Kikon and Nune Kire.
