Chümoukedima, June 19 (MExN): The team jersey of Gorkha Panthers FC (GPFC) Chümoukedima was launched by the President of Chümoukedima District Football Association (CDFA) Vitouto Kuotsu on June 19 at Little Hut Conference Hall.
Speaking on the occasion, Kuotsu called for a collective effort to produce more football stars in Chümoukedima district by providing platforms.
He also wished the GPFC success in their future endeavors on behalf of CDFA.
Chümoukedima Gorkha Union Secretary Santosh Chettri & Chümoukedima Gorkha Youth President, Manoj Shrestha also noted that the club would open an opportunity to the youth in providing a platform while United Gorkha Football Club Nagaland Team Manager Anand Gurung lauded the founder of GPFC for having a broad vision.
Convenor of the GPFC Jacob Sundas also expressed optimism that the club will produce more young Gorkha footballers as it is now a recognised football club under CDFA.
During the programme, CDFA also extended assistance to GPFC for the forthcoming Gorkha Cup Football Tournament, a press release from the club informed.
GPFC will take part in the forthcoming Gorkha Cup organised by United Gorkha FC Nagaland which will kick start on June 23 in Singrijan Village, it added.
