DIMAPUR, NOVEMBER 9 (MExN): The Gorkha Students’ Union Chümoukedima District (GSUCD) celebrated its second foundation day on November 8 at the Union Office in Singrijan Village, Chümoukedima District.
The event featured a formal program with Colonel Kartik Thapa, Commanding Officer of the 22 Assam Rifles, Ghaspani Battalion, as the special invitee.
Colonel Thapa, in his address, reflected on the sacrifices made by Gorkha jawans, urging attendees to stay self-motivated and to work earnestly for the betterment of their community.
The event was chaired by GSUCD President Jacob Sundas, with a welcome address delivered by Tezu Pradhan, the Head GB of Singrijan and Khopanala Villages. Deepak Chettri, General Secretary of the Dimapur District Gorkha Indigenous Forum, also delivered an exhortation.
