Gorkha Students’ Union Chümoukedima District organises career guidance

Chümoukedima, April 13 (MExN): A career guidance seminar cum annual general meeting was organised by the Gorkha Students’ Union Chümoukedima District (GSUCD) on the theme ‘employment linked career guidance seminar in the field of health care & education sector’ at Singrijan Village Council Hall on April 13. 

Resource persons, Edward Aley, Post Graduate Teacher, Physics, Government Hr Sec School Chümoukedima highlighted the topic 'Education Sector' while Sanam Rana, Physiotherapist, Assistant Professor NERMPI, CIHSR Dimapur shared on 'health care sector'.
Edward Aley, provided a motivational talk sharing his personal experiences on how he got motivated in life. He encouraged the students not to limit their aspirations to government jobs alone but to explore various training opportunities to equip themselves and become self-reliant.

Sanam Rana, in his session encouraged the students to dream big and to put more effort in studying and opting into the health care sector at present for the Gorkhas. He took a session on the health care sector and told the students about opportunities and employment linked careers in health care.

Earlier, GSUCD President Jacob Sundas in his speech encouraged the Gorkha students to start identifying their interest and skill enhancement through various means, which can later on in life become their career.

The programme was chaired by Sancho Maya Gurung, Joint Education & Statistical Secretary GSUCD. The programme was followed by the annual general meeting, stated a press releaswe issued by Enos Rai, Press & Information Secretary GSUCD.
