DIMAPUR, APRIL 2 (MExN): A gospel album titled, “To Music” by Vizho Thakro was released on Tuesday by the Advisor to the Music Task Force, Khriehu Liezietsu at the Hope Centre for Excellence, Dimapur. “To Music,” which is Thakro’s debut album has nine songs including song of the year & best gospel category 2011: ‘A Kecha’ (My prayer) and best gospel category 2012 ‘A Khawahie Yi (Never let me go)’ in the Nagaland Music Awards.
In the words of the artist, the title song ‘To music’ is about experiencing God’s gift to music. Thakro said the song is also about expressing happiness through music. Another song ‘To Nagaland’ has a patriotic feeling and admires the beauty of the state. In his review of the album, vocalist of Divine Connection, Obed Kath described the title song as “descended straight from heaven and carried me to paradise.”
Head of department for Piano at the Hope Centre for Excellence, Dimapur, Ezono John said that the song ‘A Khawahie Yi’ has a “hauntingly beautiful melody line ... makes for a very satisfying listening experience.”
