Kohima, April 16 (MExN): Christ King Catholic Church Male Association went on a gospel tour to St. Xavier's Catholic Church Kidima on April 15. Reverend Father Raymond D’Souza SJ, Director of Eden Garden and Children’s Home, Khuzama was the main celebrant.
He expressed gratitude to Christ King Church of Kohima Village for their visit to Eden Garden and donating cash and material for the children’s home on Good Friday. Reverend Father D’Souza also shared his happiness for their gospel tour to Kidima, which is located in a remote area that only few people visit it.
He further challenged the large gathering of people to preach good news to the whole world with courage, conviction, honesty, and sincerity, according to a press release from P Tepekrovi Kiso.
In his homily, the Father dwelled on repentance and forgiveness and urged to obey the commandments of God.
Neisevituo Ferdinand, former president of Catholic Union spoke on the topic ‘The birth of Christ religion in this world,’ while Keneingu Albert presented on ‘Holy Mass.’ St Xavier’s Catholic Church Male Association presented special number.
Message on behalf of the Christ King Catholic Church Male Association was delivered by Khrievituo Kevin, president of CTK, CKC, Kohima Village. Earlier, Keyolevo Augustine, president of Kidima Catholic Union gave a welcome address and Vitsu Martin proposed vote of thanks.
The event saw interaction amongst the faithful followed by fellowship meal. Visiting Thokhwezu village and historical places were the highlights of the mission tour, the release said.
