
Dimapur, October 31 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended festival greetings to the Kuki community on the occasion of Kut. Describing the festival as a happy occasion for the community whose stock of food is plentiful after a year of tremendous hard labor, the Governor reminded all to thank the Almighty for His unwavering love and blessing.
He added the festival should be a source for building unity and called on all to come together and make the atmosphere conducive in towns and villages for peaceful co-existence and all round development in the State. The Governor also opined that Kut should provide opportunities for budding generations and other villagers to display their skills and physical strength. He also encouraged the Kukis to safeguard and promote their rich culture and traditions through the festival.
May the festival of Kut bring peace, unity and prosperity to the community the Governor added.
TR Zeliang has extended warm greetings to the Kuki community on the occasion of Kut, a festival marked by thanksgiving, merry-making and renewal of bond. In a greeting message, Zeliang said “let this festival be a celebration of brotherhood and unity,” and urged the Kukis to come together in unison and build a society marked with peace, love and mutual respect. He wished the Kuki community a happy and meaningful Kut.
