Gov extends greetings to Zeliang community

Kohima, October 30 (DIPR): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended warm greetings to the Zeliang community on the occasion of Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi festivals.

Noting that the festivals were celebrated to invoke God’s blessings and bring good harvest and health, he called on the Zeliangs to thank Almighty for his unwavering love and blessing.

In his message, the Governor also reminded the community to thank the farmers for their hard work. The Central and State Governments, he said, have welfare projects for farmers such as soil testing, Kisan credit card, National Food Security Mission etc to help in production and productivity. “It should be our responsibility that these welfare projects are made known to them and motivate them to avail the services for their benefit,” the Governor stated.

Governor Acharya hoped that the Zeliang community will continue to preserve and promote their age-old traditions and showcase the rich cultural heritage as they celebrate their premier festival.

“May the festivals of Chaga Gadi and Langsimnyi bring peace, unity and prosperity to the Zeliangs in particular and Nagas in general,” he wished.
