Gov interacts with Naga elders and student leaders in Shillong

Dimapur, July 9 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya had an interaction with Naga elders, student leaders, and officers and staff of Nagaland House, Shillong on July 9 in Shillong.  

PRO to Governor in a press release stated that Acharya encouraged the students to continue working hard and to achieve their goals in empowering themselves with knowledge. Speaking on the importance of skill development, he said it is important to have a course in skill and that UGC has made it mandatory to introduce skill development in the curriculum.  

He called on students to be ‘game changers’ and socially accountable. Students, when they come out, must be an asset to the society and be employable, the Governor stated. He added that work culture should be embraced and people should be positive towards entrepreneurship.  

The Governor also asked the gathering to continue promoting the rich Naga culture and traditions and to keep their mother tongue alive as it is one’s identity. He also encouraged them to inform the various targeted groups on the Central and State Government schemes for their benefit and all round development.
