Gov, Patton mourn demise of L Khumo

Kohima, February 21 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan has condoled the demise of L Khumo, former Advisor and Member of Nagaland Legislative Assembly, on February 20 at Dimapur.

L Khumo was a very gentle and upright leader who worked hard for the welfare of the society. He will be remembered for his contributions to the people of Nagaland.  In his death the State has lost a dedicated and sincere public leader, the Governor said in a press note. “I on behalf of the people of Nagaland and on my own behalf convey our heartfelt condolences to the bereaved family members. May Almighty God grant peace and solace and give strength to overcome this irreparable loss. May his soul rest in peace,” he conveyed.

The Deputy Chief Minister Y Patton has also condoled the demise of L Khumo. Patton said that in his association with Khumo, he found him to be a courageous and straight forward leader, who worked for the upliftment of the people and that Khiamniungan and the Nagas have lost a true leader. Patton also said that he found Khumo to be more of a brother and friend than a colleague. On behalf of the state BJP legislators, the Dy CM conveyed deepest condolences to the bereaved family and pray for the departed soul to rest in peace eternally.
