Kohima, March 10 (DIPR): The Governor of Nagaland PB Acharya met the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Ministry of Minority Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi at New Delhi on March 9 along with a delegation of Japfuphiki Pfutsana Keseko (Indigenous Society Organization), Nagaland led by Dr. Lozhoho Khamyo.
They discussed safeguarding the identity, culture and tradition of each and every tribe of the State. The Governor also emphasized on preservation of communities, which are on the verge of extinction.
The Governor of Nagaland P.B. Acharya also met the Union Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Culture, Dr. Mahesh Sharma at New Delhi on March 9.
They discussed promotion of indigenous culture of Nagaland where the Governor proposed for construction of multipurpose community hall for promotion and propagation of cultural activities in the State. The MoS assured to look into the issue positively. A delegation of Japfuphiki Pfutsana Keseko (Indigenous Society Organization), Nagaland led by Dr. Lozhoho Khamyo was also present on the occasion.
