Minister Temjen Imna Along with the officials and participants during the Government Colleges Principal’s Conference held in Kohima on November 25.
Kohima, November 26 (MExN): The Government Colleges Principal’s Conference was held at the Directorate of Higher Education, Conference Hall Kohima on November 25.
The Guest of Honour, Minister HTE & Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along addressed the Principals and also inaugurated and flagged off three buses to be distributed to Wangkhao Government College, Mon, Kohima Science College (Autonomous), Jotsoma and Directorate of Higher Education.
He was optimistic that this service will help the respective recipients in their daily administrative works to a great extent, stated a press release received here.
The inaugural was chaired by the Director, Dr Apeni Lotha and Dr Moanochet Longchar, Principal, Dimapur Government College pronounced the invocation. The Commissioner & Secretary, HTE, Imjung Panger highlighted the achievements, needs and challenges of the department in his brief address.
The first session was an interactive session was chaired by the Director, Higher Education where all the Principals participated while the second session was chaired by the Additional Director, Higher Education. The resource person, Dr Mhonthung Yanthan, Assistant Professor, St Joseph’s College (Autonomous), Jakhama, presented on the topic ‘Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) and its implementation.’
The Conference concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr Katoni Jakhalu, Additional Director, Higher Education.
