Kohima, April 11 (DIPR): The Transport Department in a notification stated that on the recommendation of the Committee constituted to review the scrap rate of condemned Government vehicles, machineries and unserviceable materials, the Government of Nagaland has enhanced the scrap rate at par with market rate on the following listed condemned Government vehicles, machineries and unserviceable materials with immediate effect.
1. Scrap materials - Rs. 25/kg
2. Battery-12V 25P - Rs. 120/No
3. Battery-12V 21P - Rs. 1000/No
4. Battery-12V 19P - Rs. 800/No
5. Battery-12V 6P - Rs. 600/No
6. Tyre 1000x20 - Rs. 100/No
7. Tyre 900x20 - Rs. 100/No
8. Tyre 8.25x16 - Rs. 100/No
9. Tyre 7.50x16 - Rs. 100/No
10. Tube (Assorted Size) - Rs. 7/No
11. Flaps (Assorted Size) - Rs. 5/No
2. Battery-12V 25P - Rs. 120/No
3. Battery-12V 21P - Rs. 1000/No
4. Battery-12V 19P - Rs. 800/No
5. Battery-12V 6P - Rs. 600/No

Tyres should be retreaded at least 2 (two) or 3 (three) times before scrapping. This is issued with the concurrence of the Finance Department vide RFC No.Bud/102/13-14 dated 15/02/2014.
