Governor, Ao Senden offer condolences

Dimapur, October 25 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has expressed sadness at the passing away of Y Mangko Phom, former President of Eastern Nagaland People’s Organisation (ENPO). “Late Y. Mangko Phom was a dedicated social worker, veteran politician and had served the society in different capacities,” stated Acharya in a condolence message addressed to Sikhlong Phom, wife of the deceased. He described Mangko as a great human being who was respected not only by his tribal community but also by all others. The Govenor along with his wife conveyed heartfelt condolences to the wife and other members of the family. “We pray to the Almighty to grant strength to all to bear the irreparable loss.”  

In a separate condolence note, Ao Senden also expressed grief and sympathy at the demise of Y Mangko Phom. “Late Mangko Phom was a man of great dignity who worked tirelessly towards the good relation of all Naga tribes,” stated Ao Senden president, Imolemba Jamir and general secretary, S Panger Ao. The Ao Senden further prayed to God to give solace to the bereaved wife and family members.
