Governor, CM extend Onam greetings

Kohima, September 13 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended greetings and best wishes to all the Malayalees on the occasion of Onam, the harvest festival of Kerala. “Let the celebration of Onam be a message of equality, true love and oneness. May this joyous occasion which symbolizes our oneness and the linguistic and cultural harmony strengthen the bonds of unity and bring peace, progress and prosperity to all,” Acharya wished.

In a separate message, Chief Minister TR Zeliang extended greetings to the Keralites living in Nagaland and across the country on the occasion of Onam festival. “Malayalees will be celebrating Onam across the world with traditional fervor and gaiety and the celebration is a reminder of a golden era and reassuring for a prosperous future,” he said. The Chief Minister hoped that Onam festival which symbolizes love, brotherhood, and communal harmony will bring prosperity and happiness to all.
