Dimapur, October 13 (MExN): Nagaland Governor La Ganesan marked a significant milestone for the region by visiting the Border Roads Task Force (BRTF) camp in Dimapur and e-inaugurating the Kohima-Pedi-Peren Road. This new roadway is one of 75 critical infrastructure projects developed by the Border Roads Organization (BRO) across India, aimed at enhancing national defense and connectivity.
During the e-inauguration, Governor Ganesan expressed pride in being part of this national effort to improve infrastructure, thanking Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh for leading the initiative. “These endeavors strengthen the backbone of our nation’s defense and enhance connectivity, which is crucial for progress and security,” he stated. He further acknowledged the Kohima-Pedi-Peren Road’s potential impact on local economic growth and accessibility, noting that it will support strategic operations and stimulate regional commerce.
As part of his visit, the Governor toured various facilities at the BRTF camp, including family quarters, the dental unit, and an auditorium. He commended the excellence of the infrastructure, which he said reflects the dedication of the BRTF workforce to supporting both personnel and their families.
The Governor also celebrated the achievements of meritorious children of BRTF’s Casual Paid Labourers, recognizing their successes as a tribute to the hard work and resilience of their parents. “Today, we honor not only these young achievers but also the values of hard work, dedication, and resilience that their parents embody every single day,” he remarked.
Appreciating the BRTF’s commitment to employee welfare, Governor Ganesan emphasized the importance of supporting every member of the workforce, regardless of their position, and highlighted the organization’s role in building a strong foundation for future generations.
He concluded by urging the gathered personnel to continue striving for excellence and underscored the significance of their contributions to national progress. “Let us strengthen our commitment to peace, prosperity, and progress for every citizen of our great country,” he said.
