Kohima, August 7 (DIPR): The Governor of Nagaland, P.B. Acharya has extended his warm greetings to the people of the State on the joyous occasion of RakshaBandhan. He expressed his hope that the festivity will further reinforce the warm bonding amongst the siblings and will continue to spread universal love and peace in the world.
In his message, the Governor said that RakshaBandhan, which symbolizes love, affection and mutual trust between brothers and sisters usher emotional integration, brotherhood and mutual understanding amongst the citizens. It also signifies 'a bond of protection' - protecting the sisters by brothers rather the womenfolk by the persons with brotherly feelings, a celebration of one such relation - that of a brother and a sister.
“It fortifies bonds among all communities and groups and helps us in our collective endeavour to work for the well-being of one and all,” he further said.
May the festivity reinforce the spirit of family bonding, communal harmony and peaceful coexistence, the Governor wished.
