Kohima, August 28 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland La Ganesan has extended Onam festival greetings. The festival falls during Malayalam month of Chingam (Aug-Sep) and marks the return of legendary king Mahabali. It is the harvest festival which brings out the remarkable and amazing display of culture and beauty of Kerala. It also signifies love, brotherhood and communal harmony. Onam is celebrated for a period of ten days. It ‘makes soul and body dance with exciting beats of music for unity and re-connection with its roots.’ He wished all happiness and to enjoy the festivities with gaiety.
