Kohima, December 18 (MExN): The new office building cum library of the Gorkha Public Panchayat (GPP) was inaugurated by the Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya on December 17 at GPP complex, Chandmari here.
The Governor in his speech encouraged the Gorkha community in Kohima to build up good leaders in order to bring more unity, friendship and social justice in the society, said a press release from PRO, Raj Bhavan. Acharya also urged the parents to give good education to their children so they will be able to compete in the bigger realm.
Chief Secretary of Nagaland, Pankaj Kumar (IAS) also graced the function as guest of honour. The showcase of Nepali cultural dance and attires was the main highlight of the event, which was presided over by Dr. Santa Gurung. Vote of thanks was proposed by Gayatri Devi, Advisor and former President GPPK.
