Governor inducted as Chief Patron, Nagaland Bharat Scouts & Guides

Kohima, October 19 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, RN Ravi was inducted as the Chief Patron of Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides on October 19 at a function held at Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan Kohima.


Addressing the gathering, Governor Ravi stated that the movement has come a long way in the State with active enrolment and different activities organised for both children and adults. He hoped that the Scouts and Guides movement become even more vibrant and strong in the days to come, a press release from PRO to Governor stated.
Governor Ravi called upon the officials of the Nagaland State Bharat Scouts & Guides for commitment and rededication and assured his best support as Chief Patron.


Advisor Youth Resources and Sports and President Nagaland Bharat Scouts and Guides Er Zale Nikha while delivering the welcome address expressed optimism and looked forward to the newly inducted Chief Parton for his guidance and support. He also stated that there were around 5000 Scouts and Guides enrolled in the State. 


State Organising Commissioner (Scouts), John Tomchimong presided over the Induction Ceremony while Vineyard School Scouts and Guides presented a song. The programme was chaired by State Chief Commissioner, Atuo Mezhur Sekhose and vote of thanks was proposed by State Treasure, K Neibou Sekhose.
