Governor launches digital information system at ICFAI

Dimapur, July 2 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya visited the ICFAI University Nagaland and interacted with the faculty, staff and the students of the university on July 2.  

During the visit, Governor Acharya inaugurated a digital information system, an information device that was developed by the BCA fourth semester students, along with a team of teachers.  

ICFAI University Nagaland Registrar Khrieketu Kuotsu in a press release stated that, the Governor encouraged the students to be entrepreneurs, and highlighted various schemes available under Mudra Bank scheme. While stressing on the importance of working as agents of social change, he said that “unless we endeavour to uplift the economically weaker section of people in the society, our education has no meaning.”  

He highlighted on the various central government schemes, such as Jandhan Yojana, Atal Pension Yojana, Beti Padao Beti Bachao scheme etc. He encouraged the students to go to different villages and prepare a report on the utilisation of these schemes by the villagers, and organise awareness programmes.  

The welcome address was by the delivered by Prof. Charles P. Alexander, Vice Chancellor, and the vote of thanks by the Registrar, Khrieketu Kuotsu.
