Governor on Foothills Road

Nagaland Governor, Dr Ashwani Kumar on Thursday expressed happiness over the Nagaland government’s commitment to start work on the foothill road. He congratulated the Nagas “because we already have a huge public demand to construct the foot hill road from Tizit to Khelma in Peren district.” The Governor also referred to the trans-eastern highway from Mon to Avangkhu in Phek district, along the eastern border and the North-South corridor, stretching along the existing roads in the centre of Nagaland. He stated, “These roads and highways will be the life lines of development and urbanization in the future.” The Governor was speaking at the function of the release of Primary Census Abstract of Nagaland, here today.
