Kohima, July 5 (MExN): The Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya has extended warm greetings to the people of Nagaland on the joyous occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr. “This festival following holy month of Ramadan gives us the message of mutual harmony, peace, progress, fraternity and affection,” Acharya stated in a press note. “The spirit behind observance of Eid-ul-Fitr which marks the end of the fasting month is to express our gratitude to the Almighty Allah for giving us courage to observe fasts in Ramadan and rededicate ourselves.” The Governor hoped that the festival will strengthen faith and usher lasting peace, unity, and prosperity in the state. On the occasion, the Governor appealed to the people to build a peaceful and friendly society irrespective of religion and caste and also pray for tranquility, prosperity and welfare of the state.
