Kohima, April 10 (DIPR): The Governor of Arunachal Pradesh & Nagaland, PB Acharya met His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama at Thupsung Dhargye Ling Monastery, Dirang, 45 km from Bomdila in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh on April 6. He was accompanied by his wife Kavita Acharya. They exchanged greetings and shared religious views.
Recalling his journey in March 1959, His Holiness expressed his appreciation to the people of India and Arunachal Pradesh for the warm reception accorded to him. He said that India is the only country which combines modern education and technology in tackling destructive and negative forces.
In brief but poignant meeting, the Governor also shared his views on Buddhism and Hinduism.
