
Dimapur, June 11 (MExN): Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya today expressed his willingness to bear the expenses of any girl children who cannot afford to pay for their education at Gamadi Vidya Bharati Residential School at Dhansiripar in Dimapur. He said this while encouraging the teachers to enroll more girl children in the school during his visit there.
Acharya emphasized the importance of girl’s education and opined that if girls are educated, the whole family is educated. The Governor interacted with the school principal, teachers and staffs and discussed various issues and problems faced by the school. While highlighting the Jan Dhan Yojana, Acharya also asked the Headmaster and the Board members of the school to submit to him the list of parents of the students for opening accounts under Jan Dhan Yojana within July 15, 2016. Acharya also planted two trees in the school campus to mark the World Environment Day, which was observed on June 5. He was accompanied by his wife.
Acharya meets NEZCC officials, staff
Dimapur, June 11 (DIPR): PB Acharya, the Governor of Nagaland and Chairman of NEZCC held a departmental meeting with NEZCC officials and staffs on June 10 at NEZCC conference hall in Dimapur.
The Governor highlighted the importance of the department and how it will bring change not only within the state, but also at national level as a whole. Acharya maintained that NEZCC will create friendship and unity among the other states.
He further discussed about providing appropriate facilities to the staffs and encouraged all the officials and staffs of NEZCC to work hard and let the world know about their work and existence.
