
IRCSN organizes gratitude meeting for Governor
KOHIMA, JULY 12 (MExN): A gratitude meeting with the Governor of Nagaland, PB Acharya who is also the President, IRCSN and the Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland State Branch members was held at Red Cross Conference Hall, Kohima on July 11.
According to a DIPR report, President, IRCSN, PB Acharya in his speech said that that he was pleased to interact with the members of the IRCSN as he is enriched by more knowledge about the happenings during such interactions and added that he had also performed his duty as the President of IRCSN with a clean conscious. The Governor also said that much achievement has also been made in the field of development in the state during the last five years since Nagaland state when compared with the other tribal states of the country is more developed. He stated that other such states are in worse condition.
The Governor assured that the central government under the Prime Minister of India would grant more aid in the field of development for the state in the coming years too.
Governor Acharya said that Indian Red Cross Society Nagaland being an international movement should reach the people in need, and added IRCSN may not have achieved the goals as expected but must remember that it is marching ahead year by year and if it take up the speed, it can reach to all the people in need to give them the help they require, while also enrolling them as members of IRCSN. He also requested the members of IRCSN that they should target the orphanages as these orphanages are mostly looked after and taken care by an individual or by a family.
Acharya assured that he would do more for the betterment of the state for peace and development and also assured that he would always be ready to help in any way for social causes.
Short speeches were also delivered by General Secretary, IRCSN, Dr Kepelhusie Terhuja and Vice-Chairman, IRCSN, Dr. S. Imkong Tushi Ao, while the meeting was chaired by Chairperson, IRCSN, Abeni TCK.
