Governor will not deliver usual R-Day speech this year

DIMAPUR, JANUARY 24 (MExN): In a departure from convention, Nagaland Governor, RN Ravi will not be delivering the Republic Day address at the state capital, although his speech will be read out at all other places. Instead, the Governor will be giving the Republic Day message on January 25 evening through All India Radio Kohima and Doordarshan Kendra Kohima, informed a DIPR report. However, the Governor will unfurl the National Flag and take the Rashtriya salute on Republic Day at the state capital, Kohima, it said. Meanwhile, preparations are going on in full swing at the Secretariat Plaza, Kohima for the state level formal function and exhibition by Government departments, the report added.
