
Kohima, April 21 (DIPR): Two day training for middle level officers on climate change was organised by Administrative Training Institute (ATI) Nagaland for different Departments of Nagaland concluded on April 21 at ATI complex Kohima. Asst. Professor, Ura College of Teachers Education Kohima, Dr. Petevino Chase who was the main resource person spoke on weather, Climate Change, Greenhouse gases, Greenhouse effect, Global warming and its consequences. On the first day, a 20-minutes Video on Climate change has also shown to the participants. She said that climate change is a change of climate in the long term weather patterns which can be extremely hot or cold. Hence, climate change is a matter of public concern and all responsible persons at national and international level, she added. She said as a result of climate change diseases such as cardio vascular, respiratory disorder, stroke and the spread of viral diseases like malaria and dengue fever affect human beings. Around 20 officers from different Departments attended the two day training.
