KOHIMA, SEPTEMBER 25 (MExN): The School Education Department has changed the implementing pattern of Children Education Assistance Fund (CEAF) which was given to merit students of Govt. Schools in the State on the basis of competitive Examination.
The endowment has been christened as Nagaland Government School Students Meritorious Award (NGSSMA) from the current academic year. The deserving selected students will be given cash award for onetime payment. The Award will be given to the best students on the basis of three level s of final Examinations.
The Primary School leaving Certificate Examination (PSLCE) award will be given to top ten students within the jurisdiction of each Sub-Divisional Education Officer (SDEO) Block. Each student will be given the cash award of Rs.5000.
The Elementary School Leaving Certificate Examination (ESLCE) award will be given to top five students within the each District Education Officer jurisdiction based on the final Examination conducted by the SCERT. Each student will be given the cash award of Rs.10000.
The High School Leaving Certificate Examination (HSLC) award will be given to the top three students among the Govt. Schools who secured first, second and the third position within the state based on the examination conducted by the Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE). The cash award will be given as Rs.30000 for 1st position, Rs.20000 for second position and Rs.10000 for third position respectively.
