Nagaland Chief Secretary J Alam today said that the state government has been ‘really concerned’ about innovation activities and as such, has created Nagaland Innovative Initiatives Fund.
“We have realized that doing things in routine way is not going to help us. We need to think innovatively and some initiatives have to be taken,” he said while addressing the biennial general conference of Federation of Nagaland State Engineering Service Associations (FONSESA) here at Hotel Japfü.
With that understanding, Alam said the state government has created the sources of funding called Nagaland Innovative Initiatives Fund in the 2021 financial year and that a certain amount has been kept aside.
This is a fund to support new ideas, new innovations, he said.
“So, if you want to do something which is not covered under any scheme and you strongly feel about it, you are passionate about it and you think that it is going to make a difference to the people of Nagaland, we can provide you financial support from that fund,” he told the members of FONSESA.
The Chief Secretary informed that further details can be availed from the Planning department.
