Govt dismisses report of COVID-19 positive truck driver

Kohima, June 12 (MExN): The State Government today dismissed rumours about a Manipur bound truck driver who was found unconscious on National Highway near New Reserve, Phesama on Friday morning. Following the incident, rumours circulated on various social media platforms claiming that the driver was a C0VID-19 positive patient. According to AIR Kohima, Mission Director of National Health Mission, Dr Kevichusa Medikru dismissed the rumour at a press briefing in Kohima, and said the driver had suffered stroke and showed signs of internal bleeding. Dr Medikru also informed that the truck driver is still unconscious and being treated at a hospital, AIR reported.
