Dimapur, June 13 (MExN): The Confederation of All Nagaland State Employees’ Association (CANSSEA) has extended its “fullest support” to the Action Committee Against Unabated Taxation (ACAUT) under the aegis of Naga Council Dimapur to streamline “unbridled taxation”. As per a press release from CANSSEA’s President and General Secretary, government employees are taxed 24% of a month’s salary by various factions of the underground annually. In addition to this, “random taxation” upon the business community leads to the hike in price of essential commodities, which the employees as common consumers also have to pay for. Appealing to all “sensible organizations” to rally behind the ACAUT till an acceptable has been step formulated, the CANSSEA extended their fullest support to the initiative by ACAUT in the “interest of the entire population”.
