Govt extends period of inquiry into January 31 Dimapur violence

DIMAPUR, OCTOBER 6 (MExN): The Government of Nagaland has extended the period of Judicial Inquiry Commission to inquire into January 31, 2017 incident at Dimapur for another of 2 (two) months till October 28, 2017 for submission of the Commission report. Other Terms of Reference of the Commission would remain the same, informed a stamen from the Directorate of Information and Public Relations. It added that this extension has been granted on expiry of 90 (ninety) days and in continuation to the Home Department’s notification No. CON-6/LOR/8/2005 dated May 29, 2017.
