Govt HSS Pfutsero celebrates freshers’ day

Kohima, August 20 (MExN): The Government Higher Secondary School (GHSS), Pfutsero held its freshers’ day on August 18 last T.T Indoor stadium Pfutsero.  

Speaking on the occasion as the main speaker, GHSS, Vice Principal Kelhikha Kenye encouraged students to learn to prioritize things in one's life. Prioritization requires sacrificing the less important matters for more important things in order to achieve ones goal in life. He also reminded the students that as students, one must never forget to put family and studies on top of one's priority list as they matter most in our lives. The students were also urged to embrace life skills as young men and women. He also said that skills would determine their future prospection of job placement and not the mere degree.  

The programme was led by Metshelo-u Mero, vice president GHSS students’ council. At present there are 188 students in class 11 Arts and 164 class 12 students at GHSS Pfutsero. Chekutsho Tsido and Metshewe-u Ritse of class 11 were crowned Mr and Miss Freshers 2018.
