Dimapur, February 2 (MExN): The Dimapur Ao Youth Organisation (DAYO) has condemned the death of Lt. Khriesavizo Metha and Lt. Bendangnungsang Longkumer who were shot dead by the law enforcing agency due to the betrayal of the state government which took place on January 31, 2017 and injuring five people at Dimapur.
“The error of judgment as witnesses in the sequence of events in other areas also revealed a lack of conviction and wisdom on the part of the government,” DAYO Vice-President Temsumonba Sanglir and General Secretary, Meyatoba while demanding the people elected representatives to step down on ethical ground or else face the music as the ball is in the people courtyard. It also demand Independent Judicial Inquiry to probe into the incident and immediately suspend the police officer involved in the present confrontation.
The DAYO has condoled the demise of two youths and pray that almighty God grant solace to the bereaved families.
The DAYO also vehemently condemn over the incident that took place at the resident of I. Bendangliba Tzudir, Director, Industry & Commerce on January 30 at Kohima when some unidentified miscreant fired several shot at his resident without any justification. Such kind of gutless act and intimidating has no place in our culture and as such demand to the security agency to thoroughly investigate the matter and punish the culprit as per the penal law.
