Dimapur March 17 (MExN): Despite instructions to all appointing authorities to strictly implement the Government’s order in regard to reservation of jobs for scheduled tribes, many departments have failed to follow it while making appointments to various posts under the State Government.
In this connection, Additional Chief Secretary, Lalthara IAS in an office memorandum has reminded departments to scrupulously follow the Reservation Policy for the backward tribes and ensure equal opportunities to all the backward tribes by following the roster system already circulated by the P & AR Department.
Further, all the Departments were also requested to furnish to the Department of DUDA the number of employees appointed by them from the backward tribes, along with the total number of posts filled up by them during the last three years. This information should reach the DUDA on or before 30th April, 2006, it was directed.
