
Kohima, December 2 (MExN): The Directorate of School Education has directed teachers serving in all government schools throughout the State to register for the ‘Gurushala Teacher Training’ programme from December 3 to 22.
In a notification issued through the DIPR on Wednesday, the department informed that the online training programme and professional development initiative is being implemented free of cost by the ‘Pratham Education Foundation’ with the aim to build capacity and skills of school teachers to effectively use digital technology so as to positively impact the learning levels of students.
It said that he ‘Gurushala’ team organizes regular online trainings, workshops, subject expert sessions and competitions based on the needs and requirements of States and teachers, in addition to preparing a pre-training communication plan with teachers that can align with their immediate requirements on the basis of information provided during the registration process.
As such, it directed teachers to register for the programme through the link provided on the Teachers’ APP or at DoSE Online Education Services Portal (https://dosenl.in). Heads of institutions of all government schools have also been directed to ensure that a minimum of 75 % of teachers serving in their schools register for the programme without fail.
