Govt sector is saturated, explore other avenues: Vikheho Swu

27th NSF General Conference concludes on high note  

Tsürangkong, June 1 (MExN): The three day 27th Naga Students Federation (NSF) General Conference which kick- started on May 30, 2017 concluded this evening at Tzürang Valley, Mokokchung with Minister for PWD (R&B), Y Vikheho Swu as the special guest at the valedictory session.  

Speaking at the concluding programme, the Minister challenged the students to be self dependent and self-reliant and to go back to the future.  

Commenting on the theme of the conference, Swu said that the Naga society needs ‘amelioration’ as it is currently witnessing a fragmentation.  

“Therefore the Naga society should work for integration.”   He also rued the dependence of the students on government job by stating, “For the Nagas, employment means government job only without exploring other avenues especially the private sector.”  

In this connection, Swu pointed out that the employment opportunities in government sector have reached a saturation point and challenged the students to be “self reliant and self-dependent.”  

he government of Nagaland is already over employed, take up entrepreneurship as a career and become a job provider rather than a job seeker, he further stressed.  

Meanwhile, the Pochury Students’ Union and the youth choir of the Mokokchung Town Baptist Church presented special numbers. Mission director of NCRC, Rev Dr Imchayanger offered the dedicatory prayer for the newly elected office bearers.  

Later in the evening, an entertainment nite was held where seventeen students’ unions presented different items and a special appearance by Dreamz Unlimited, informed a press note from informed a press release from the Media Committee NSF.
