Govt sets up committee on Admn Reforms

DIMAPUR, OCT 29 (MExN): The Nagaland Government has constituted a 5 member Committee to examine the issues contained in the Resolution of the Second Administrative Reforms Commission (ARC) of the Government of India.

As per an official news bulletin, the Committee will be headed by Principal Secretary (Home) Banuo Z. Jamir as the Chairman. Other members include OSD (Finance), Menukhol John, Addl Director, ATI , F P Solo and OSD (Law), K Medikhru, SIO, NIC and Addl Secretary (P & AR), V Shashank Shekhar as Member Secretary.

The Committee will examine particularly on those relating to ethics in Governance, steps to ensure effective administration at the State, District and Local self-government levels, Panchayati Raj Institutions and public order.

The Committee will also examine and articulate State Governments views on the relevant issues so that the same can be communicated to the ARC by mid-November.

The Committee will also assist the State Government in its subsequent discussions with ARC.
