Dimapur, October 6 (MExN): The government of Nagaland has decided to withhold the “special recruitment” of 10 Extra Additional Commissioners for the “less represented tribes.” Chief Secretary of Nagaland Lalthara issued a copy of a letter addressed to the Nagaland Public Service Commission informing of the decision. The government has also asked the NPSC to cancel the October 8 examinations for the said posts.
“In view of the various agitations by some students’ unions and due to logistic reasons, the government of Nagaland hereby conveys its decision to withhold the ongoing special recruitment process for recruitment of 10 EAC posts for the less-represented tribes. Therefore the written examination for the said recruitment scheduled on October 8, 2011 may be cancelled,” the government’s letter said.
