GPRN/NSCN Angami Region cautions on drugs, unauthorised donations

Kohima, November 4 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN Angami Region has expressed deep concern over the “growing menace” of drug abuse and trafficking in and around Kohima.

In a press release, it stated that the issue is a serious matter that affects not only the individual but also the community as a whole, leading to crimes, violence, and social unrest.

“The Angami Region strongly warns any individual, party, or group organisation found indulging in these activities will be dealt with the highest action,” it stated.

It further clarified that the sale of “alcohol, tobacco, gutkhas etc” will not be tolerated.

The group also issued a warning against unauthorized fundraising, stating that “any individuals seeking contribution, donation etc. in any manner without proper authorisation will not be tolerated at any cost and will be punished as per the Yahzabo.”

Asserting that full cooperation from all stakeholders is crucial, the GPRN/NSCN urged the community to “unite against this menace and build a stronger, more resilient community.”
