GPRN/NSCN cautions dealers involved in LPG black marketing

DIMAPUR, MAY 18 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN has cautioned LPG dealers against involving in black marketing. A press note from the GPRN/NSCN MIP stated that “numerous reports are pouring in about illegal activities being perpetrated by LPG dealers in collusion with black marketers.”

It stated that LPG dealers, “on one hand, are reportedly distributing only a part of the actual consignment to the consumers, and the rest are allegedly being pushed into the black market with the intent of making huge profits.” While on the other hand, it added that “the black marketers are selling the refill at exorbitant prices, thereby affecting the livelihood of the common people.”  

The GPRN/NSCN directed LPG dealers to stop indulging in unscrupulous activities and black marketers to sell the refill at a price not exceeding Rs. 700/- per cylinder. It cautioned that offenders to this directive will be “penalized without any reservation if this Ahza is willfully defied.” It informed that customers may contact 9856775832 or 8575721973 for any grievances.
