
Dimapur, October 28 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN on Thursday expressed deep concern about the firing incident which reportedly took place during the wee hours on October 27 in Dimapur town.
“At this juncture when the Naga society is passing through the course of transitional peace and everyone is pursuing to instil a sense of brotherhood and understanding, some anti-social elements seems still hardened with their old traits to subdue the prevailing peaceful situation with gun powers much against the desire of the people,” the GPRN/NSCN stated.
It further added that firing in the immediate vicinity of the NSCN top leader’s private residence during peace time is considered as “an act of provocation which construes as a challenge to GPRN/NSCN.”
Condemning the act which was intended to “create fear psychosis in the locality,” the GPRN/NSCN said that it would look at such incidents with seriousness to enforce necessary measures to thwart the nefarious activities in future.
