GPRN/NSCN expels cadres; questions Assam Rifles’ raids

Dimapur, April 8 (MExN): Chairman of GPRN/ NSCN, Gen. (Retd) Khole Kitovi has informed that Lieut. Colonel Khenli Konyak, bearing Naga army no 6364 has been found guilty of committing adultery. Therefore, under the party discipline Article B, clause 3 (b), he has been expelled from the party membership on April 7, 2014 for a period of two years.

Meanwhile, general secretary of GPRN/ NSCN, N Kitovi Zhimomi has also informed that Hutoshe, Tatar has been found guilty of breaching the party disciplines by committing adultery. In this connection, initiating the party discipline Article B, clause 3 (b), the general secretary has expelled him from the party membership for a period of two years starting from April 4, 2014.

Sumi Region questions 5th Assam Rifles
The GPRN/NSCN Sumi Region has questioned the 5th Assam Rifles stationed in Zunheboto for raiding the house of its workers “knowing thoroughly the realities laid under ceasefire ground rules.” Dy. Kilonser cum Caretaker RAO Sumi Region, Huvito Yeptho in a press release stated, the Assam rifles within a span of one week led by its Major Apache have raided the house of Sumi regional workers “without any rhyme or reason during odd hours causing not only physical and mental trauma to children and family members course but have arrested Razou Peye Kughaho from Asukhuto, Tatar Vihoshe and Leacy Hokugha from Zunheboto, raided Leacy Satoi’s residence at Tizu and Major Shekugha from Zunheboto town respectively.

The Dy Kilonser clarified that short hand (pistol) found in their possession were purely for self-defence and not to create tensions or meant to disturb peaceful atmosphere anywhere. The region also asked the Assam Rifles to clarify on its action and allegation labelled against the region worker Hokugha that “war like stores were found" at his residence by stating what they actually found during his arrest. The GPRN/NSCN further warned that “any person found aiding the Assam Rifles as its agent will be traced out and befitting punishment awarded according to the Azah of the Nation.”
