GPRN/NSCN (Kitovi) welcomes ‘homecomers’

Dimapur, June 27 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (Kitovi) announced the joining of several senior functionaries to its fold, including members from both the civil and army wings.

According to a press release issued by the group’s Ministry of Information and Publicity, the ones who joined include three Deputy Kilonsers—Toiho, Kuhokhe Yeptho, and Y Zhetovi Sumi—all from the Union Territory (UT) region. Other figures listed are Asheto Ayemi (Tatar), Hekiho Yeptho (Tatar), and Lt. Toka Awomi (Lieutenant, Army).

The complete list also includes Yehoto Awomi (Leacy, Sumi Region), Nilevito Angami (Leacy, UT), Khutovi Chophy (R/Pio, UT), Obeka Awomi (Khapur, UT), Itovi Yeptho (Tatar, UT), and Akhevi Awomi (Khapur, Sumi Region).

The GPRN/NSCN (Kitovi) said that the “home-comers recognize that the Naga struggle, which has endured for years, is at a pivotal moment.” “They enthusiastically commit to supporting the dedicated leaders of the GPRN/NSCN, spearheaded by President Maj. (Retd.) RM Lotha and Ato Kilonser N KitoviZhimomi, in their quest for an early Naga Solution,” it said. 

“This is not just about the present; it's about paving the way for a brighter future for our younger generation. With a renewed sense of purpose, they vowed to strengthen the GPRN/NSCN and work diligently to solidify the hard-won Agreed Position, bringing it closer to finalization between the Nagas and the Government of India,” it added.
