GPRN/NSCN (Neokpao-Alezo) welcomes 'homecomers'

DIMAPUR, JUNE 2 (MExN): The GPRN/NSCN (Neokpao-Alezo) has announced a list of national workers, who it said “have recently joined the mainstream from different factions, both from Civil and Military wing, following the unfortunate and treacherous incident that happened at the Khehoi designated camp on March 22, 2025.” A press release from the MIP of the group stated that “the GPRN/NSCN formally hosted a welcoming programme on May 26 at its Oking.” 

It said that “according to statements made by the homecomers, the Naga political movement led by President Gen. (Retd.) MB Neokpao Konyak and Ato Kilonser Ino Alezo Venuh, continues to be one of the most credible and committed Naga nationalist political platforms.” “The leadership has played a significant role in formulating the Agreed Position with the Government of India (GOI), which is currently awaiting final formalization,” it added.

“The homecomers have expressed their trust and renewed allegiance to the leadership of GPRN/NSCN (Naga Unification) and have endorsed its efforts to work toward an early and amicable resolution based on the principles laid down in the Agreed Position signed between the GOI and the NNPGs,” the statement further read.

Those who joined the include political and civil functionaries: Dy. Kilonser Nikavi Chishi, Holuto Awomi, Shangchui Khiamniungan, Hukato Rai, and Nihoto Yeptho; Tatars Swu Chishi, Vinoto N. Zhimo, Chandra Pradhan, Viwoto Yeptho, Suyeho Zhimo, and N. Kilumo Mozhui; Secretaries Vikheho Assumi and Mughakheto; and Jt. Secretary Akahoto Sumi.
From the military set-up, the returnees include Majors Kiukhangba, Mhabemo, Zuchobemo, Aben, Zubemo, and Chingyang; Capt. Chuba; Lieutenants Huto, Laipa, and Vethihu Rakho; 2nd Lieutenants Mughato (two entries), Yangtithsa, and Kiukhangba; Sergeant Majors Khatha, Lunso, Ngangba N, Hukavi, and Ghukivi; Sgt. Johny and Lusang; Corporal Kihoka; and Lance Corporal Pushing.
